Creating solutions that are intentional and impactful
Each step should be connected to the previous one and provide a reason why the next one is needed. My design process is driven by 4 main things: empathy, mindfulness, experimentation, aesthetics.
Creating solutions that are intentional and impactful
Each step should be connected to the previous one and provide a reason why the next one is needed. My design process is driven by 4 main things: empathy, mindfulness, experimentation, aesthetics.
Empathy
I like to build with the user in mind at all times. If I can empathize, then I can advocate for a solution that people actually need.
Mindfulness
Mindfulness and intentionality go hand in hand. At every step of the process, I am mindful that I’m still solving the right problem and ensure all design decisions are deliberate.
Experimentation
Design is testing. I think testing out designs and getting feedback is the most rewarding, validating and humbling part of design and I LIVE for it. Nothing gets my blood pumping like doing usability tests or seeing results of tests in the morning.
Asthetics
I adore visual design. Creating high fidelity prototypes and designs is my happy place and brings me a lot of joy. I tend to express this love though building design systems

Daily UI Challenges

The reason to do this was to practice UI design & gain experience through tinkering, experimenting and a lot of trial & error. I believe that the quickest way to improve your craft is to just make a lot of stuff. This excercise not only improved my visual design skills but also helped me in making an eye for seeing patterns and understanding why those patterns are being used for certain contexts.

What is your work ethic?
I’m always looking to work with my team to discover and implement the most effective approach to solve the problem at hand. I know this is a bit of a cliché, but I’m very dedicated to seeing tasks to completion. At my last review for a design challenge, this was something my mentor took note of and praised me for. During one of my jobs, we needed to increase the team size due to workload but had to showcase the requirement to the clients. I shared the issue with my team and had everyone brainstorm ideas for a follow-up meeting a week later. We came up with a great idea that enabled us to increase the team size from 3 designer to 7 designer
